Knowledge is pain….
It pierced my heart like a sharp sword;
That the giant of Africa has fallen and has turned to shreds – like the white house after the world war II.
We’re called “ambassadors”, yeah! The ambassadors of poverty; because that’s the message we keep Sharing
Knowledge has never given me so much pain.
When I go to the north,the south, west or east,
My tears drop so deep an ocean.
People dying of hunger, malnutrition, sicknesses and infirmities. It brings me nightmares!
2.5million suffer from starvation! Their only fault was living.
I remember, one of the Holy Books say; “give us this day our daily bread”
I kept wondering; are these lives not Precious enough?
Do they deserve such penury?
Or they deserved to be served with leftovers when they are at our doorsteps?
Just like we are.
When I look into their eyes, I see the vista; as bright as the sun’s ray.
I see a dream
I see transparency…
I find hope lurking in all corners
Do I look away?
My conscience asks.
Should I silence that inner voice?
But then I said “NO,
I will stand out
I will ignite smiles on those faces.
I will reach out to one….two…three… till my end.
Because I am Human.
I WILL REACH ONE
